ERP certification of LED lights

time:Sep 07, 2022 Views:

The scope of ERP testing includes: ERP certification requirements for energy-saving lamps: NO.244; ERP certification requirements for AV products and IT products: NO.1275; ERP certification requirements for TV products: NO.642; ERP certification requirements for set-top boxes: NO.107 ; ERP certification requirements for ballasts and fluorescent lamps: NO.245; ERP certification requirements for external power supplies, adapters, and chargers: NO.278rP The main consideration is the life of lighting products, light color and electrical parameters.

The main tests are as follows:

1. Distributed photometer test: measure the light distribution curve to confirm whether it is a directional light or a non-directional light by accumulating the luminous flux.

2. Switch test: switch cycle 15,000 times, open for 3 seconds and close for 3 seconds. The failure rate cannot be higher than 5%.

3. Integrating sphere test: start-up time is less than 0.5s; warm lamp time is less than 2s; color rendering index (CRI) is greater than 80, and outdoor or industrial use is greater than 65; color consistency: color tolerance within ellipse coordinates is less than 6; power factor (PowerFactor): P≤2W: norequirement, 2W0,4~5W0,5, P>25W:PF>0,9.

4. Aging test This test mainly considers the comparison between the initial light parameters of the lamps and the light parameters after a certain period of aging test.

One of the most important parameters is the lumen maintenance rate. Starting from September 1, 2013, the lamps must be aged for 1000 hours (continuously turned on). From September 1, 2014, it must undergo 6,000 hours of aging. The failure rate cannot exceed 10%, and the maintenance rate should be greater than 80%. The conformity assessment of the product is carried out in accordance with the internal design control procedures in Annex IV of the ERP2005/32/EC Decree.

The simplest and most effective method of compliance assessment is to refer to Annex IV of the EuP Decree, namely: to provide the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) environmental footprint report of the product; to provide the test report required in the Eco-design Implementation Rules; to provide the required relevant information.
