However, the water ripples on the LED display have not been loved by everyone, and can even be said to be disgusting. Especially in some conferences, studios, live events and other occasions where photography and video are widely used, the water ripples on the live LED screen make the original activities become flawed through the dissemination of pictures and videos, which is really annoying.
It turned out that the beauty of the screen can complement each other, but the water ripples on the LED display make the picture drop several grades. The serious water ripples made the live broadcast screen with a natural mosaic, and even the background could not be used, and it was completely useless.
The reason for the flooding of water ripples is that the refresh rate of the LED display used is insufficient, and some lines on the LED display are not lit at the moment of taking pictures and imaging, resulting in a series of water ripples. Take a screen with a 1/4 scan, a common cross-flow driver IC and a refresh rate of 1000Hz as an example, set the exposure time of the camera to 1/1000s, 1/500s, 1/800s, 1/2000s, the following will appear: a situation.
1. Only at a shutter speed of 1/500 seconds, all lines are lit twice, and the brightness is the same.
2. Under the shutter speed of 1/800 sec and 1/1000 sec, some lines are lit more than once, resulting in different degrees of water ripples.
3. At a shutter speed of 1/2000 sec, half of the lines are not lit, you can imagine the number of water ripples.
4. Only when the refresh rate is greater than 2 times the shutter speed of the camera, there will be no water ripples on the LED display.
Under the general shutter speed of 1/2000 second for cameras, the refresh rate of nearly 1000 for ordinary cross-flow driver ICs and the 1920Hz refresh rate for dual-latch driver ICs are not enough to avoid water waves.
